Jeff Berry, President, BIS (Business/Psychology) Arizona State

Jeff’s entrepreneurial experience, in addition to his operational, sales, and management proficiencies, all contribute to the organizational direction and growth of Mission 6. His path to the fit life wasn’t an easy one. Despite being an avid three season athlete throughout his youth, Jeff struggled with heroin addiction beginning in his senior year in high school. This eventually landed him at rock bottom and rehab. For many years, as part of the recovery process, he mentored troubled youth who were also struggling with addiction and eventually found the gym as his new home.

His passion for CrossFit began in 2012 when he was introduced to the sport while searching for a more competitive level of fitness.  From the very beginning, Jeff noticed the high level of camaraderie among the athletes in his box.  When he realized this was consistent throughout the entire CrossFit community, he knew he was at “home.” With new found wisdom and entrepreneurial spirit Jeff started his own commercial finance company alongside a successful business development career.

Sharing the same love for fitness and nutrition, Jeff and Jason decided to combine their skills and knowledge to bring high quality, affordable supplementation to all levels of athletes worldwide.  As seen with Jason, the need to help others was born from Jeff’s own struggles with addiction in which the fit life helped him conquer.

Megan Jones, Executive & Co-Founder

Megan grew up an athlete almost her entire life. The appeal of athletic competition has always been a driving force in her life. From gymnastics as a young girl, to swimming in her teenage years that desire to compete and progress has always been very important. But, Megan struggled with body image issues like most women do in the world today.

It wasn’t till she was introduced to CrossFit at 29 years old and becoming a mother that she learned to love and accept her body. More than anything, as mother she wants her three daughters to grow up in a world where they can be proud of their bodies and athletic accomplishments. Megan truly believe that CrossFit allows women to gain a stronger sense of self and allows women to be strong.

Megan came on board with Mission 6, through working on her nutrition with Jason, and immediately was on board with the vision of providing a supplement that would help athletes of all levels achieve their goals. Currently, Megan serves as a coach (CF-L1) at CrossFit Infernal based out of Chandler, AZ. She’s also competed at the Regional level and currently manages the athlete team for Mission 6 Nutrition.

Jason Phillips has been everywhere and done everything. From cover model to professional athlete, and now, to supplement company owner. Jason has written for several publications including Men’s Fitness and his own book, Macros Explained: Your ultimate guide to macronutrient prescription for health, performance and aesthetics. He himself has been a sponsored athlete for many years and is humbled to be able to give back to other athletes now.

Jason’s journey began in a battle with anorexia, and has landed him in a position today where he has helped thousands of people achieve their goals. His formal background comes from The Florida State University where he majored in exercise science with a concentration in fitness and nutrition. He has consulted for reality weight loss shows, traveled with the PGA tour, and has helped several functional fitness athletes improve performance including many of the athletes on Team Mission 6.

He recognized there was something missing from what other companies are doing for athletes. Working with an athlete should be more than just using their images in elaborate ad campaigns. Helping them with nutrition, supplementation, and showing the rest of the fitness community how to achieve success is paramount to why he founded Mission 6 Nutrition.
